Electronics & Communication Engineering is an engineering discipline which uses the scientific knowledge of the behaviour and effects of electrons to develop components, devices, systems, or equipment that uses electricity as part of its driving force. This field encompasses designing, fabrication, manufacturing and maintenance of electronic equipment. There is a huge scope in this field and one can find jobs in the field of communication, private and public telecommunication companies, power sector, steel plants, petroleum and chemical industry, defence, space and other organizations which undertake research on a large scale basis. Software companies also employ students with Electronics & Communication background.

The department of Computer Science and Engineering offers the curriculum based on the University syllabus. At present the department has an intake capacity of 60 students. Computer engineers are involved in many aspects of computing and they can even do research in computer science, commercial software development and so on. Computer engineers are involved in many aspects of computing, from designing of software, microprocessors, PC and supercomputers to circuit design. This department’s aim is to advance, evolve and enhance Computer science and computing engineering fundamentals to build the intellectual capital of research and students and also endeavours to be an important regional, national, and Resource centre for the development of computing, IT systems and applications.

Department of Electrical Engineering, Ramgarh Engineering College was established in August 2013 under public private partnership of Techno India Group and Govt. of Jharkhand. The department is affiliated to Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh and Jharkhand Technical University, Ranchi. All the courses running in the department are AICTE approved. The Department offers four year B.Tech program with an annual intake of 60. The department encourages modernizing of labs and curriculum in order to meet up the emerging technologies in the field of Electrical Engineering.

Civil Engineering department (NBA Accredited): Civil Engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewerage systems, pipelines, and railways. The department has excellent teaching-learning environment with qualified and dedicated faculty members and well equipped laboratories. The department shall especially focus on the academic programs with practical knowledge and co-curricular activities so as to promote the intellectual growth of the students. Well qualified faculties are serving in the department. Civil Engineering Department organizes technical talk, Seminar and workshop in regular interval. Department of Civil Engineering publishes technical magazine every year.
