Electrical Engineering Department currently offers twelve laboratories covering practical study of most of courses in the discipline. Experiments includes study of response of R L C elements, Filter Circuits, Testing of Transformers, No load & Full Load Characteristics of DC Machine, Speed Control of of 1 ? and 3 ? Induction Motors, Synchronization of alternator with infinite bus or another alternator, Ober Current and Earth fault relay ,analog-to-digital converters, microprocessor and microcontroller based experiments and performance of various power electronic Converters.
The laboratory facility includes licensed Matlab software that is being used for several undergraduate laboratories and project work. The laboratory is equipped with PIC controller, microcontroller boards, digital oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters , IC testers, all other electrical engineering laboratory utilities. In addition, the department has also planned to get licensed Pspice & PSCAD software for Power System Simulations and projects.
Clubs and Societies:
1. CIL: Centre of Innovative Learning
This club is formed at departmental level and the main objective of the club is to inspire students to create science and engineering-based projects inclined to have some social impacts. Encourage students and faculty members to ignite their creative thinking ability to innovate, design and develop product & services.
2. ARS: Arts and Recreation Society (ARS)
Inspire students to participate in extra academic activities such as music, sports, drama, NCC etc. to embrace their talents. Participation develops immense confidence among students and improves their overall personality. Motivation of the society is to provide exposure to the students to be able to face society.
