The department of Computer Science and Engineering offers the curriculum based on the University syllabus. At present the department has an intake capacity of 60 students. Computer engineers are involved in many aspects of computing and they can even do research in computer science, commercial software development and so on. Computer engineers are involved in many aspects of computing, from designing of software, microprocessors, PC and supercomputers to circuit design. This department’s aim is to advance, evolve and enhance Computer science and computing engineering fundamentals to build the intellectual capital of research and students and also endeavours to be an important regional, national, and Resource centre for the development of computing, IT systems and applications.

PEO1: Apply fundamental knowledge of Computer Science and Engineering education and use different tools and technologies to analysis, formulate and solve computational and mathematical problems.

PSO1: Analyse, design, interpret, test and apply algorithmic principles, data structures, computer programs and mathematical foundations to solve problems in broad area of computations.
PSO2: An ability to identify gaps in software systems of varying complexity and develop solutions using latest programming environment and following software project development frameworks.
The department has excellent teaching-learning environment with qualified and dedicated faculty members and well equipped laboratories with PCs conforming to modern configuration. In order to establish as a centre of excellence in the field of computer science the department shall strive to get the skill of the students developed in latest software and programming language like .net, Java Based web technology etc. The department shall especially focus on the academic programs with practical knowledge and co-curricular activities so as to promote the intellectual growth of the students. We have 5 well equipped laboratories.
Coding Club is launched to develop coding knowledge of the students of Ramgarh Engineering College. Several Events has organized through this club. This is not limited to the CSE Department only but also the whole Ramgarh Engineering College.
UDAAN is a technical team of Ramgarh Engineering College. The UDAAN launched www.recstudentportal.com on 15th September, 2016. Team members work on the Web Designing and Development, Android, Robotics etc. It has a newsfeed where students can post doubts and anybody who knows the answer can reply to them.
